Senate District 15

Senator Janice Marchman represents Colorado's 15th Senate District, serving communities in Boulder and Larimer counties. Raised in a military family, Janice attended 14 public schools across the country before graduating high school in South Georgia. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech, where she met her husband, Mike. Early in her career, she worked as a systems engineer in California.

After starting a family and settling in Loveland, Janice discovered her passion for education. She spent six years teaching middle school math, an experience that shaped her deep commitment to students, educators, and public schools. Her dedication to education leadership led her to serve on the Thompson School Board from 2010 to 2013, where she supported key education funding initiatives and served as Vice President.

Elected to the Colorado Senate in 2022, Senator Marchman brings the perspective of an engineer, educator, and parent to the legislature. She serves as Vice Chair of the Senate Education Committee and the Senate Finance Committee, and is the Chair of the Joint Technology Committee. Her legislative priorities include strengthening public education, expanding access to affordable and behavioral healthcare, improving economic security for working families and seniors, and supporting rural and agricultural communities.

Janice lives in Loveland with her husband and their two children and is proud to serve the community she calls home.
